According to Zhoghovurd daily, new facts are being disclosed about the deals made by former Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan and his teammates.

The paper has revealed copies of documents stating that AMD 3 mln 417 thous. was transferred to Ghukasyan-owned Alexandrapol hotel for financing the September visit of Minas Avetisyan Foundation representatives and Italian experts.

“The ex-mayor seems to have done nothing reprehensible. After purchasing Tumanyan's House Museum in Tbilisi, he took up the mission of ‘saving’ the famed Armenian artist Minas Avetisyan’s frescos. However, the agreement on the transfer of the painter’s works to the municipality building didn’t oblige Gyumri mayor’s office to finance the delegation’s visit to Armenia,” the paper says.
