Armenian parliament speaker to visit Czech Republic

On October 29, Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan will start a three-day official visit to Czech Republic, at the invitation of the Senate president Milan Štěch.

Armenian delegation comprises Chairman of Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan, the chair of Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan, MPs Karine Achemyan and Artur Gevorgyan.

Meetings with Czech Senate president Milan Štěch, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Miroslava Němcová, Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, Archbishop of Prague Dominik Duka, head of the Czech-Armenian inter-parliamentary friendship group head Robin Bőhnisch are on NA speaker’s agenda. A meeting with Armenian community representatives is also envisaged.

Parliament speaker will further hold meetings with Karlovy Vary governor Josef Novotný and mayor Petr Kulhánek.
