Armenian President meets newly-appointed Greek envoy

Newly-appointed Greek ambassador to Yerevan Ioannis Tragakis presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

President Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on appointment, voicing hope that he will contribute to deepening of Armenian-Greek relations.

Ambassador Tragakis, in turn, pledged to take every effort to strengthen the ties between the two countries. He further noted that President Sargsyan’s official visit to Greece in 2011 reaffirmed the two countries’ readiness to develop multifaceted cooperation.

Upon completion of the meeting, President Sargsyan wished success to the Greek envoy in his mission.
