Latvia is not ready yet to recognize Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Latvian Foreign Minister said.

“Solution to Karabakh problem must be based on the principles of territorial integrity and peoples’ right to self-determination,” Edgars Rinkēvičs told a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, noting peaceful settlement of the issue as the only acceptable option.

The Latvian Minister said discussions on Artsakh recognition will not foster the problem solution and stressed the need to continue negotiations.
