Armenia-Uruguay parliamentary friendship group met with the delegation headed by Uruguayan President of the House of Representatives, Mr. Jorge Orrico.

Parliamentary friendship group leader Vahan Hovhannisyan noted that businessmen were also invited to the meeting, considering the importance of development of bilateral economic relations and the need to set up a chamber of commerce.

The Uruguayan official, in turn, briefed on the geographical, historical, political and economic peculiarities of the country. Jorge Orrico further conditioned the effectiveness of Uruguay's policy by the continuous improvement of the legislative field and the introduction of distinct mechanisms.

Armenian and Uruguayan entrepreneurs presented their possible investment areas, with MP Hovhannisyan offering to discuss all investment opportunities at an expanded meeting of businessmen.
