Facebook has added a new 'Share' button to its iPhone and Android apps, allowing users of the social network to share stories while on the move, IT media reported.

The new feature means stories or status updates can be flagged up to friends and families quicker than just hitting the 'Like' button.

Users can also repost the stories to their own news feed, similar to the "quote" feature on Twitter.

The Share button on news feeds is available on the latest Android app or iOS apps for iPhone and iPad, or the Facebook mobile news site.
