Sharmazanov advises Turkish parliament speaker to keep silent at times

Armenian National Assembly vice speaker Eduard Sharmazanov commented on Turkish parliament speaker Cemil Çiçek’s statement dubbing “Armenia an ‘occupant country’ having problems with both Baku and Ankara.”

“Turkish and Azerbaijani high-ranking officials seem to have launched a contest of absurd statements,” he said, deeming Turkish parliament speaker’s remarks as a proof of the country’s readiness to continue the policy of lies.

He further noted Turkey as a country having masterminded genocide against Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians.

“Turkey has occupied the northern part of Cyprus, with Azerbaijani criminal Ramil Safarov having undergone military training there. Moreover, official Ankara extended military and financial assistance to Baku in occupation of some territories of Nagorno Karabakh Republic. The following conclusion can be drawn: it’s better to keep silent at times to avoid getting into ridiculous situation, parliament vice-speaker’s statement reads.
