Professor hails foreign diplomats’ interest in NKR

Professor of Political Science at Central European University Laszlo Kemeny noted he shows great interest in Artsakh-related issues.

“Interest in the future of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic has recently grown in international diplomacy. OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are expected to visit the region in late November. Representatives of Australia's New South Wales have recently voiced concern with NKR-related problems, with Uruguayan high-ranking officials visiting the republic last week. Uruguay expressed respect for NKR people’s right to self-determination and independence building efforts. The country’s Foreign Minister Luis Almagro’s speech at a parliamentary meeting proved the above mentioned,” he told PanARMENIAN.Net, calling on other officials to follow Uruguay’s suit.

Professor Kemeny further voiced hope for the complicated political process to move forward gradually.

He also hailed Uruguay’s readiness to be the first country to recognize Artsakh independence if the initiative positively affects the problem resolution.
