Armenian PM confident over outcome of gas talks with Russia

Armenia and Russia have always managed to come to an agreement over gas supply tariffs, Armenian Prime Minister said, commenting on reports suggesting the strategic partners’ inability to agree over gas price.

According to earlier reports, Russia suggested hiking gas price to Armenia to $330 per 1000 cubic meters.

“We have already agreed on basic principles, with only technical details left to be finalized,” Tigran Sargsyan told Interfax.

As the Prime Minister noted, it would be incorrect to publicize clauses of the agreement taken out of context while negotiations are still in progress. “The situation will become clear upon completion of talks,” he noted.
