Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati as part of his official visit to Beirut.

President Sargsyan stressed the development of economic cooperation, assessing the trade turnover between the two countries as still insufficient.

The two men underscored the need to give fresh impetus to the Armenian-Lebanese inter-governmental economic cooperation as vital to the development of bilateral business ties. Establishment of a joint chamber of commerce was further discussed, with cooperation prospects considered in sectors of agriculture, tourism and high tech.

A state dinner in honor of Armenian President and First Lady will be paid at the end of the day.
