Rita Ora snatches "Fast And Furious 6" role from Rihanna

Rita Ora has reportedly taken a film role that was originally intended for Rihanna, accoridng to NME.

Back in April 2012, it was reported that Rihanna was being lined up to play the villain in car chase sequel Fast And Furious 6. However, a representative for the singer later denied the rumour.

According to The Sun, the role has now gone to Ora. A source apparently told the tabloid: "Rihanna impressed movie bosses with her role in Battleship. But schedules didn't work out and Rita really shone during castings. They loved her look and her attitude."

Rihanna played a US Navy officer in this year's Battleship, her first major movie appearance. Back in June, she signed up for a voice role in an animated film called Happy Smekday!, which is due in 2014. Her new album 'Unapologetic' has just debuted at Number One on the UK charts.

Meanwhile, Fast And Furious 6 began shooting back in July (2012 ) in Surrey. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez are all reprising their roles from previous films in the series. The new sequel is scheduled for release on May 24, 2013.
