Areximbank-Gazprombank Group CJSC will increase the total number of ATMs and POS Terminals to 100 and 360 respectively in 2013.

Deputy director general of the bank Ruben Khachatryan linked the initiative with plans aiming to develop the card business and introduce new services.

“Armenian payment card industry is in the stage of rapid development due to the competition in the banking system, with the volume of card issuance and transactions growing every year,” he said.

Mr. Khachatryan further noted Areximbank-Gazprombank Group as the only Armenian bank certified by Visa and MasterCard payment systems as acquirer in the Internet, through support of Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.

“This enables our clients to make online payments,” he said, voicing intention to come up with new plastic projects in 2013.
