The US fully shares the OSCE position on the first round of the presidential elections in Armenia. US ambassador to Armenia John Ordway told "Arminfo" agency. In his words, progress is evident at the elections held February 19, at the same time numerous transgressions were also present. The ambassador expressed hope for the shortcomings to be removed before the second round. John Ordway flatly denied the statements attributed to him that in case the number of violations at the elections exceeded 5%, the US would recognize the elected president illegitimate.
