The stance of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) remains unchanged, with the party to nominate Serzh Sargsyan for president at a December 15 sitting, a RPA member said.
“President Sargsyan succeeded in overcoming the atmosphere of hatred reigning after the 2008 elections, managing to mend a split within the society,” Artak Davtyan told a December 7 news conference.
The MP also stressed significant progress in the country’s foreign policy, specifically the Armenian Genocide recognition campaign.
