Political expert Sergey Minasyan has voiced skepticism over Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s running for the president.

“Two factors may affect Tsarukyan’s decision; first, he doesn’t want Prosperous Armenia to follow the suit of Orinats Yerkir, second he is concerned over his party’s future,” Mr. Minasyan said, adding that the party leader will announce decision on presidency in the coming week.

The expert further voiced confidence for incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan’s victory, in case of Tsarukyan’s refusal to join the race.
