MONUMENT TO ANDRANIK ARMENIAN MILITARY LEADER OPENED IN PARIS
June 4 a monument to prominent Armenian military leader Andranik was opened in the central part of Plessi-Robinson Parisian suburb. The sculpture is presented to the city by Yerevan Arabkir Municipality. Armenian Ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandyan, Plessi-Robinson Mayor, MP Philip Pemzek, a delegation from Yerevan headed by Arabkir Community Prefect Levon Harutyunyan, French state and political figures, hundreds of local Armenian community representatives were present at the opening ceremony marking the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey. As Ambassador Nalbandyan noted in his speech, the numerous monuments and streets dedicated to Armenia and the Armenian people in French cities symbolize the big friendship and warm relations between Armenia and France.
