Putin to attend CSTO, EurAsEC meetings

On December 19, Vladimir Putin will attend the meetings of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Security Council, Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Interstate Council, and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting.

The events will bring together Presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will visit Moscow.

CSTO Collective Security Council meeting will feature discussions on the current international and regional issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, the cooperation between the CSTO member states – measures to boost the collective security and collective emergency response system, as well as medium term development of CSTO, with a number of documents to be signed following the meeting, the official website of the Russian President reported.

No information has been provided on Putin’s plans to hold bilateral meetings with any of his counterparts.
