Armenian parliament approves bill on ethics law amendments

Armenian parliament approved the bill on making amendments to the law on ethics with a 66-28 vote and 1 abstention. Representatives of Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc and Heritage voted against the motion.

Prior to the vote, member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Arpine Hovhannisyan noted that no agreements had been reached with the parliamentary groups, with cooperation prospects possible in the future.

Prosperous Armenia representative Stepan Margaryan, in turn, expressed the party’s readiness to discuss the bill before the second reading.
