Armenian-Turkish protocols mustn’t be shelved, official says

The processes of integration into Eurasian Union and EU aren’t mutually exclusive, the head of standing parliamentary committee on foreign relations said.

As Artak Zakaryan told a December 24 news conference, the two structures complement each other.

Dwelling on the achievements of the year 2012, the official remarked that Armenia’s positions were more accessible to international community.

As he further noted, Armenian-Turkish protocols mustn’t be shelved. “Armenia will follow through the process. The problem here is the stance of Turkey, which is trying to link the solution to the issue with the position of the 3rd side,” the official said.
