Samsung Galaxy Note 7.0 rumors grow

Samsung's rumoured Galaxy Note 7.0 is believed to have appeared in a new test certificate listing, Digital Spy said.

The Korean manufacturer has registered a filing for a device codenamed GT-N5100 on the GLBenchmark website, in a move that has sparked further speculation about a new mid-range tablet.

The mystery product, which previously appeared on the the Nenamark benchmark site a few weeks previous, is said to feature a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 and comes running the Android 4.1.2 operating system.

Samsung recently brought increased competition to Apple at the high end of the tablet market by teaming up with Google to launch the Nexus 10, a 10.055-inch slate with a dual core A15 Eagle processor and a Mali T604 GPU.

The Korean tech giant released the Galaxy Note 2 in October to fill the void between its tablet and smartphone line, but could now be targeting the thriving 7-inch tablet market.

The rumoured Galaxy Note 7.0 could be unveiled at CES 2013 next month or the Mobile World Congress in February.
