Oscar winner Robin Williams to star in "Boulevard" drama

Robin Williams is set to star in "Boulevard," directed by author-turned-filmmaker Dito Montiel ("A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints"), TheWrap said.

The Academy Award winner will star opposite newcomer Roberto Aguire in the drama about marriage and lies, written by Douglas Soesbe.

Williams will be playing a devoted husband in a marriage of convenience until a run-in with a guarded young man, played by Aguire, forces him to come to terms with his own secrets.

Production on the film begins this May in Nashville, Tennessee, with Camellia Entertainment's Monica Aguirre, Diez Barroso and Mia Chang producing alongside Jeffrey Gelber and Ryan Belenzon, while Barrett J. Klausman executive produces.

Montiel just wrapped his fourth feature, "Empire State," which stars Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Williams has been keeping himself busy as of late, too. The 61-year-old actor is portraying Dwight Eisenhower in Lee Daniels' upcoming White House drama "The Butler" and finished filming "The Angriest Man in Brooklyn" in the fall.
