Luxembourg residents have approved of the European Constitution at the nation-wide referendum. According to preliminary returns, 56.52% of constituents voted for adoption of the document, while 43.48% were against it. European Commission head Jose Manuel Barroso welcomed the opinion of the Luxembourg citizens with «great pleasure», the Yerkir newspaper reported.
