"Parker" clip features Jennifer Lopez

The first clip for "Parker" has been dropped via Yahoo! Movies. Instead of showcasing the film's high-octane action scenes, the sneak peek sees a conversation between Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham at a balcony. The two are making a deal that if J.Lo helps Jason accomplish his dangerous mission, she will get a commission, AceShowbiz reported.

Based on the series of bestselling novels by Donald E. Westlake, "Parker" follows Jason's titular character, a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: "Don't steal from people who can't afford it and don't hurt people who don't deserve it." However, on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead.

Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to PalmBeach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (J.Lo), a savvy insider, who's short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.

The actioner is helmed by Oscar nominee Taylor Hackford, who worked for "Ray" previously. Also lining up in the cast ensemble are Michael Chiklis, Nick Nolte, Wendell Pierce, Clifton Collins Jr., Patti LuPone and Emma Booth. The movie is due to open Stateside on January 25.
