Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumored to sport 6.3 inch display

Samsung's rumoured Galaxy Note 3 will feature a 6.3-inch display and an eight-core processor, according to a report, Digital Spy said.

Korea Times claims that the hybrid device will be powered by a next-generation Exynos Octa chip and boast increased battery life.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 2 last year, a device with a slightly larger display than its predecessor. The firm has found considerable success with the phone-tablet, selling more than 5 million units as of November 2012.

The report also states that Samsung is marketing its latest processor tech to Chinese manufacturers including Huawei and ZTE to lessen its reliance on Apple revenue.

"We have introduced the Exynos 5 Octa to appeal to Chinese clients and diversify our client base in China with better pricing and output commitment," the publication quotes a Samsung official as saying.

Samsung unveiled the Exynos Octa chip at the CES trade show last week, a component with two sets of processors with four cores each.
