IMF DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR APPRECIATED ECONOMIC REFORM IN ARMENIA
Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian today met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Deputy Managing Director Agustin Carstens, reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. Having noted that one of the goals of his visit is immediate familiarization with Armenia's potential and situation in the country, as well as discussion of the prospects of cooperation with the Armenian Government, A. Carstens appreciated economic reforms here. In the course of the meeting the parties exchanged views over the current situation in Armenia and prospective developments. The interlocutors noted the importance of political reforms as well. Within the context of sustainable economic development the parties also discussed the situation in the region, specifically, prospects of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations.
