Turkish human rights activist, publisher Ragip Zarakolu dubbed Armenia “a Cuba of South Caucasus region.”
At Yerevan-hosted discussions Mr. Zarakolu characterized Turkey and Azerbaijan’s stance on the opening of Stepanakert airport as highly aggressive, with Baku threatening to shoot down Nagorno Karabakh-bound civil planes.
“I wonder what the OSCE Minsk Group position on the issue might be,” he said.
The publisher further spoke of a strong Azeri lobby in Turkey, especially active in the country’s Foreign Ministry.
