Argentina-based David Nalbandian said that Davis Cup first round against Germany is important.

“Without doubt, these days the Davis Cup is my great objective and my main motivation. But I still play every match on the Tour with a lot of intensity. I have a huge desire to win the cup and I'll continue to pursue it for as long as I'll play,” the player’s official fan blog quoted him as saying.

“We have to get through the first round. We have to take firm but short steps because there's no sense in thinking about the final if we have to face a strong team like Germany. If we win there's the next strong opponent. You have to take it step by step,” Nalbandian said.
