NAMES OF WINNERS OF WILLIAM SAROYAN PRIZE MADE PUBLIC IN US
Names of winners of the 2005 William Saroyan International Prize for Writing are made public in the US. 2 works are awarded the Saroyan prize annually. One of these has to represent the real life, while the second should be fiction. Out of 125 works this year The King of California by Mark Arax and Rick Wartzman, who work for the Los Angeles Times, is selected as non fiction winner, while The Laments by famous journalist of the Wall Street Journal George Hagen is selected in fiction nomination. Each of the competition winners will be awarded $13 thousand, the Yerkir newspaper reported.
