Gallup Organization: 61% voters expected to go to the polls

The Gallup Organization has conducted a public opinion poll ahead of Armenian presidential elections, with 1,020 citizens interviewed.

According to Gallup representative Rasa Alishauskene, 39% of Armenian respondents said they will go to the polls, 43% said they will “probably vote”.

Thus, the number of the voters on the election day is expected to total 61%, + - 3,1%. Following the termination of the candidates’ registration, most of the voters expressed backing for the incumbent president (66 %), with only 10% voicing readiness to vote for Heritage leader Raffi Hovannissian, only 4% for Paruyr Hayrikyan, 1 % for Aram Harutyunyan, Andreas Ghukasyan, Arman Melikyan, Vardan Sedrakyan. 16% of the voters said they were still undecided on the candidate to vote for.
