Madrid tourism trade fair to host Armenian travel agencies

The National competitiveness foundation of Armenia, along with 7 Armenian travel agencies, will represent Armenia in Fitur annual international tourism fair due in Madrid, Spain, from January 30 to February 3.

Last year 9,506 exhibiting companies from 167 countries, around 120,000 participants and 92,000 visitors met in Fitur. The event was covered by more than 6300 journalists from 54 countries.

On the sidelines of the fair, a forum of investors will be organized in cooperation with United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). During the event, NCFA will brief those present on Armenia’s tourism and investment attractiveness as well as business environment. The move is aimed at facilitating investment flows to establish affordable hotel infrastructures in Armenia, National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia reported.
