Beyonce announces international tour

As the title and poster for her forthcoming "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" were leaked online simultaneously with the much-awaited Super Bowl weekend extravaganza, Beyonce Knowles waited after her explosive halftime show performance to confirm the big news. The Grammy Award-winning artist is set to go on a four-month, transatlantic tour where she will showcase the powerful vocals and fierce choreography that she brought to the recently-concluded "BeyonceBowl", AceShowbiz said.

The formal announcement came after Beyonce initially hinted to fans about it during the Super Bowl press conference, where she also addressed the lip-syncing controversy that marred her national anthem rendition at the Obama inauguration. "I may have an announcement after the [Super Bowl] performance - fans should just stay tuned to see," the singer teased.

The new world tour is set to support her new album which has yet to be named and whose release date is yet to be decided. It will kick off in Serbia on April 15, after which Bey will play in shows in key cities in Europe like Paris, Stockholm, London and Berlin, for a total of two months before trekking across the United States.
