Armenian PM: schools mustn’t be involved in electoral processes

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan addressed the media-raised problem about teachers’ possible involvement in the election processes.

Prime Minister Sargsyan instructed Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan to focus on the issue.

“Heads of educational institutions will be strictly punished for doing disservice,” Prime Minister said.

Minister Ashotyan, in turn, noted keeping schools away from political processes and ensuring proper educational system as the two challenges the ministry currently faces.

Aragatsotn province school headmaster, accused of involvement in electoral process, received a stern reprimand.
