A public opinion polls conducted on Feb 6 revealed that 65 % Armenian citizens have voiced readiness to go the polls on Feb 18, with 27-30 % ready to support incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan.

“Serzh Sargsyan is doomed to victory,” the sociologist said, adding that though voters lack political orientation they won’t shift their ground.

“Part of the electorate will vote for the candidate who can inspire hope, with another part for the one ready to take true measures to solve the problems,” the sociologist said.

Mr Adibekyan further noted that 65% of those interested in politics are pro-governmental, with 35% anti-oppositional.

“22% of the population is still undecided,” he said.
