Hezbollah offers free podcast on Apple’s iTunes store

Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based militant group, offers a free podcast in both Farsi and Arabic on Apple’s iTunes store, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The Anti-Defamation League called attention to the podcast on its Extremism & Terrorism blog on Thursday, Feb 7, noting that the downloadable audio clips “promote both the terrorist group’s and the Iranian regime’s militant propaganda.”

Twenty podcasts are currently available online, including speeches by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Also available, according to the ADL, which translated the material, are “militant songs” and praise for terrorist organizations.

Hezbollah is experienced in utilizing the internet and mass media to disseminate its message and maintains al-Manar, its own television network.
