"Burning Love," "Epic Rap Battles of History" and "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" took top awards on Sunday, February 17 at the Streamy Awards, which honored the year’s best in online video, TheWrap said.

Few of the top winners competed against one another, as producers Tubefilter and Dick Clark Productions gave out 35 awards spanning comedy, drama, music, live event and several other genres.

"Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" and "Burning Love" won the most awards overall with four apiece, as "Halo" took top drama series and "Burning Love" took top comedy series. "Halo," released in advance of a new version of the popular video game, also won for cinematography, production design and editing -- all announced before the show.

"Burning Love," which parodied "The Bachelor," earned show co-creator Ken Marino the award for Best Male Performance in a Comedy. The show also won for Best Ensemble Cast and Ken Jeong won a pre-announced award for Best Guest Appearance.

No one show dominated in any category, and on the drama side, different shows won for writing, actor, actress and series.

The top winners were a mix of YouTube stalwarts like Phil DeFranco and KassemG, who boast millions of subscribers on the web video portal, and studio-backed shows like “H+ The Digital Series” and “Burning Love.”

DeFranco has been making video blogs on his YouTube channel since 2006, around the same time Warner Bros. began laying the ground work for "H+," produced by "X-Men" director Bryan Singer and directed by Stewart Hendler.

Chris Hardwick hosted the Streamys, which took place at the Palladium in Hollywood. The co-founder of Nerdist Industries spent his monologue underscoring the need for the show's existence, rebuking “big media” with one hand and praising the audience with the other.
