Argentina-based David Nalbandian beat his compatriot Carlos Berlocq in the first round of ATP Copa Claro tournament in Buenos Aires.

He scored a 6:3, 2:6, 6:3 defeat against Berlocq, with the latter scoring 4 break-points out of 5.

Nalbandian will face off against Spain’s David Ferrer in the struggle for gaining an entry to the quarterfinal.
