Armenian National Congress boycotts parliamentary session

The Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc has announced a decision not to attend the upcoming 4-day parliamentary session.

“Armenian authorities used their full potential to rig the elections. As it was expected, a new wave of protest loomed in the country, similar to those of 2003 and 2008. It’s already a week, protest movement has spread across the country, with the ruling authorizes showing no relevant reaction. The actions pursue one goal: to restore the constitutional order in the country and prevent yet another rigged election. In such cases, ANC refuses to attend the parliamentary session, with no issues related to the current situation on agenda. ANC will act in line with parliamentary regulations to voice its positions,” ANC statement reads, slamming the results of the Feb 18 elections.
