Heritage party leader commented on his last meeting with reelected president Serzh Sargsyan as well as threats to release the record of their conversation.

“The only news the record release will provide is me telling Sargsyan he hasn’t been elected fairly, though I was not denying his major contribution to Armenia. He, however, refused all my suggestions, offering me the role of a No. 2 political figure,” Raffi Hovannisian said.

“Let them continue lying to people. I am certain the state agencies can find the records of Sargsyan, Hovik Abrahamyan and other officials’ conversations on March 1 and October 27 events as well as those of current polls,” he said.

“If they intend to take my words out of context and release them to compromise me – let them try – they won’t find anything but words of respect,” he said.
