"Sex & the City" star Kristin Davis joins "Bad Teacher" comedy pilot

Kristin Davis is moving on from "Sex and the City" to man-hunting in the school halls. "SATC" alum Davis has signed on for CBS's adaptation of the 2011 Cameron Diaz movie "Bad Teacher," TheWrap said.

CBS's "Bad Teacher" pilot will star "Fringe" actress Ari Graynor as Meredith Davis, a sexy, foul-mouthed divorcee who becomes a teacher to find her next husband.

Davis will play Ginny, a math teacher, choir director and faculty president who is also Meredith's nemesis.

The cast also includes David Alan Grier, Ryan Hansen, Sara Rodier and Sara Gilbert.

Hilary Winston ("My Name Is Earl," "Community") is writing and executive producing. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who were behind the film, are executive producing as well.

The single-camera pilot is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, in association with Mosaic Media Group.
