World famous singer Julio Iglesias arrived in Armenia yesterday, on March 15.

“I was told in Moscow that Armenia is a very hospitable country,” Iglesias said, adding that he was happy to explore his Armenian friends’ homeland.

“Armenia reminds me of something melancholic. Melancholy is synonymous to vulnerability. A vulnerable person has heroic attitude towards life,” the singer said, adding that in the past 45 years he met many Armenians who promoted their culture worldwide.

Dwelling on the cooperation with Armenian musicians, he said Charles Aznavour is his old friend and they headlined many concerns together.

Iglesias started his world tour on February 24. He visited Russia, UAE, Ukraine and Taiwan. He will further give concerts in Shanghai, Singapore, Brazil and Korea.
