“The Host” star Jeremy Irons to join “Posh”

Max Irons, son of Jeremy Irons and star of the forthcoming Stephenie Meyer project The Host, is confirmed to join the film adaptation of Posh, The Hollywood Reporter said.

According to a report, Irons was circling the project alongside Sam Clafin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Douglas Booth (Romeo and Juliet) and Robert Pattinson — who is said to be in very early discussions.

Posh, a play by Laura Wade that launched the careers of Kit Harington, Joshua McGuire, Tom Milson and David Dawson, centers around the fictional Riot Club — an elite Oxbridge dining society — which meets regularly in the a private dining room of a pub. The film is being helmed by An Education director Lone Sherfig.

Posh opened at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 2010.

Irons previously starred in Red Riding Hood and can be seen in Andrew Niccol's The Host opposite Saoirse Ronan later this month.
