Yeghiazaryan to vie for European wrestling championship bronze

Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Vachik Yeghiazaryan (120 kg) will vie for a bronze medal at Tbilisi-hosted European wrestling championships.

Though Yeghiazaryan lost to Yevhenii Orlov in ¼ finals, he will struggle for a medal after the Ukrainian wrestler’s gained an entry to the championships final.

He earlier beat Russia’s Shokhruddi Ayubov and will face off against Bulgaria’s Lyubomir Dimotrov in the decisive bout.

Armenia’s Artur Aleksanyan (96 kg) will clash Bulgaria’s Vladislav Metodiev in struggle for a gold medal. Olympic champion Armen Nazaryan is Bulgarian team coach.
