Armenian Molybdenum Production to process hazardous waste

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Armenian Molybdenum Production LLC, specialized in processing of copper concentrate, produced in Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine.

Prime Minister Sargsyan familiarized himself with the production process and the programs to be implemented, governmental press service reported.

In 2012, AMP LLC produced AMD 20,11 bln worth of ferromolybdenum (2 840 tons), ensuring 12,7% growth against 2011 results. The manufactured product was totally realized in Europe.

In 2013, the company took measures aimed at processing of hazardous waste to increase the amount of ferromolybdenum produced. The Armenian government granted a license in 2012, with the works on the use of the new equipment currently under way.

About 500 people are employed by the company, with average salary totaling AMD 208,4 thous. AMP was placed 155th in the list of major taxpayers, replenishing the state budget with AMD 602,7 mln.
