The first round of Armenia’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Czechs ended in a tie.

At the Yerevan-hosted game, Armenians got off to a decent start as they looked to take the game to the Czechs, who were struggling to get a foot on the ball.

An effort from range by Pizzelli followed but Cech was well behind it to claim, with the first shot on goal going to the hosts.

In the mid-game, Movsisyan showed a great play to release Mkhitaryan, yet he panicked and another chance went begging as the ball fled wide.

The first halftime went goalless with Armenia by far the better side.
