On March 29, Berlin will host a joint concert by famed Armenian pianist Hayk Melikyan and Germany-based pianist Karine Gilanyan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Armenian ambassador to Germany, the permanent representative of Nagorno Karabakh Republic and other diplomats will attend the event. The concert will feature works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Komitas, Arno Babajanian, Harutiun Dellalian, as well as a premiere of a composition, created by Hayk Melikyan himself.

After completion of the concert tour, Melikyan will headline May 17 concert in Yerevan, with Alfred Schnittke works included in the program.

Hayk Melikyan was born on November 29, 1980 in Yerevan. Laureate of many international piano competitions, he is widely known as one of the best performers of 20th century and contemporary music. In 2009, Hayk Melikyan initiated "1900+" World Piano Music Concerts Series of the 20th century and contemporary Music.
