Tirana will host European weightlifting championships on April 8-14, with world junior championship winner Andranik Karapetyan (77 kg), European youth championship winner Gor Minasyan and Hayk Hakobyan to represent Armenia.

“Our weightlifters have inspired confidence. We aim to train good athletes by 2016 Olympics,” chief coach Poghos Poghosyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, adding that the most skilled weightlifters will participate in the world championships, due in fall, after they completely recover from injuries.
