South Caucasus Clearing House Conference to Be Held in Riga
South Caucasus Clearing House Conference on coordination of the cooperation of the states supporting the South Caucasian countries initiated by the Latvian Defense Ministry will be held in Riga November 2-4. The goal of the forum is to assess and coordinate the assistance to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Some 40 representatives of the South Caucasus states and of 15 NATO and EU partner-states are expected to take part in the conference. According to the Latvian MOD, the Clearing House process as regards Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan was launched in 2003 by the initiative of the ASV ECOM, the U.S. European military representation. Latvia is one of the member-states of the organization committee, reported IA Regnum.
