OSCE mission crosses line of contact to Azerbaijan through demined corridor

The OSCE mission conducted a monitoring of the line of contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Aghdam-Barda direction, with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen.

The April 5 monitoring was led by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk. In the NKR territory, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic) and Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria).

During the monitoring, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen Jacques Faure (France), Igor Popov (Russia), and Ian Kelly (USA), who had passed from the Azerbaijani side to the NKR territory during the April monitoring, crossed the line of contact from the territory of Artsakh to the opposite side through the corridor cleared of landmines.

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, NKR Foreign Ministry press service reported.
