1600th Anniversary of Armenian Letters Creation Celebrated in Saint Petersburg
An event dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of the creation of Armenian letters initiated by the Consulate General of Armenia, the Armenian National and Cultural Administration of Saint Petersburg and the Armenian Apostolic Church was held in Saint Petersburg November 8, reported RA MFA press office. Officials of the Saint Petersburg city administration, Director of the St. Petersburg Spiritual Academy Archbishop Konstantin and representatives of the Armenian community were invited to the cultural center "Moskovskiy". The soiree was opened with the reading of the congratulatory address of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. Archbishop Konstantin, chairman of the committee on culture of the St. Petersburg city administration Nikolay Burov, head of the Russian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Yezras Nersisyan delivered speeches. The event was completed with the address of Consul General of Armenia in Saint Petersburg R. Hakobyan.
