Defense ministry: Azeri soldiers’ deaths possible in April 10 provocation

No specified information has yet been provided regarding the losses as a result of April 10 Azerbaijani soldiers’ provocation in Armenia’s Tavush province.

Sources say, two Azerbaijani soldiers died and another was seriously injured. In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Armenian defense ministry’s acting spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan didn’t rule out the possibility of Azeri soldiers’ deaths, noting that no official information was provided.

Azerbaijani provocation was reported on April 10 in Armenian province of Tavush, Mr. Hovhannisyan said.

“A group of not sober Azeri soldiers approached Armenian servicemen. Despite the initial warning, they continued to advance, forcing the Armenian side to open fire,” the spokesman said, adding that the responsibility for the occurred fell on the Azerbaijani side.
